A full length figure of a man eating chicken and veg straight from the frying pan, to both keep it hot and avoid excess washing up. This piece shows the enjoyment from something really simple. No fancy plates or cooking sauce, just chicken and veg in a frying pan.
Jemima is a figurative painter living and working in Leeds. She works in oil, and her work is autobiographical in nature, taking observations of the people, places and ordinary life around her, and documenting them with paint. She hopes to not only tap into the inner world of her subjects, but also to capture these moments as a sort of visual historic diary.
