At first, this picture seemed unremarkable to me. Just beach huts, of which there are many along the coast of England. But when I learned the history associated with this place from some people, I realized that for someone it may be a very important place associated with the memory…
Despite the simple plot and the apparent simplicity of the painting, the process took a very long time. I had to make 5 sketches and then redraw the painting twice to achieve the desired result.
I think I succeeded… An artist from Ukraine, currently living in the UK.
She began her artistic career in 2010 by studying various painting techniques.
A new round of creativity came with the beginning of the war in Ukraine and forced emigration to England in 2022.
Here art became for her an opportunity to reach a new level of dialogue with the audience, to talk in the language of art about the fragility of this world and the need to preserve everything beautiful that has been given to us by nature and God. Lincoln, UK
