Description: This work was inspired by my visit to Grenada in Spain. I was fascinated by the alhambra, the spanish inqisition and the life and reign of queen Isabella 1 of Castile, the moors and their vast contribution to the world and so much more. This was a period in history when so much was happening, the beginnings of what the world is now today and how things of the past have shaped our present. I really loved painting this piece and it remains one of my favourites.This piece was a finalist in the global arts awards 2018Original is 122x91cm
