This work celebrates the togetherness of flesh and spirit, (In Shona culture it is believed that the spirit of the departed lives amongst the living, to guide and protect). The use of red thread on traditional beads resonate with the entanglements of alien cultures on Shona culture and it’s conservation.The punctuations in this work converse on effects of colonialism in Zimbabwe. Musami?s work focuses on healing and restoration as it is experienced through the gender divide. The process which he uses to create the work act as symbolic gestures in how he explores notions of healing and restoration. Harare
