SHIPS FROM Skipton, N. Yorkshire, UK The lychgate at Carleton Church, North Yorkshire. A mellow evening sun casts a golden light on the stone walls of the churchyard. Beyond, trees bloom with spring blossom. Nicola originally trained in Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic back in the late 1980s. Since then she has worked as a rag-roller, a statue restorer and a propmaker in the museum industry. She continued to paint and sell artworks privately while teaching Creative Writing for the Open University where, in 2019, she was awarded a Doctorate in Philosophy. She is now a freelance painter, living in the Yorkshire Dales.
