SHIPS FROM Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaMY Frindge Dwellers are groups of immigrant from countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Cambodia coming to Malaysia to earn a living. They built simple huts usually in the forest outside the city. The painting is based on a very common sight in the bordering states in Malaysia. H.A.Khan studied fine arts in the Malaysian Science University (USM) in mids 1970s where he took up courses in art history, drawing, painting and photography. He also studied scenography and theatre directing in the US. He took part in art exhibitions in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. He is now a full-time artist residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
