When you let go, you are allowing yourself to move forward and embrace new opportunities. This can be interpreted as a call to surrender control and to trust the process of life. Letting go can be scary and uncomfortable, but it can also lead to growth, healing, and a deeper sense of inner peace. We all often face the challenge of finding new motivation and inspiration in life, over the last six months, surrender has been a recurring theme in my art practice. I have found that letting go of what I think I should be doing and engaging in playful experimentation instead is a powerful tool for overcoming creative blocks and pushing forward. Rather than feeling stuck, I have embraced surrender as a means of unlocking new avenues for creativity. This is what happens when you let go. Courtenay Kusitor is a British abstract artist who draws upon her interest in consciousness to inform her impressionist and expressionist work. Having experienced a life altering event, Courtenay’s intention is to ignite a sense of inward and outward awareness – one that the viewer could bring into their life beyond the initial engagement of the art itself. Her blocks of bold unapologetic colour and intuitive marks combine traditional and contemporary abstract painting. Courtenay has exhibited with various galleries and art fairs in London and has been featured in Saatchi Art?s Undiscovered Artists To Know list.Courtenay?s work has been acknowledged by American Pulitzer Prize Winning Art Critic Jerry Saltz, who has liked and commented on her art. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, USA & UAE.
