Mr. Zhang Weizeng is particularly skilled at drawing carp, nicknamed "Carp Zhang". In the painting, two fish are playing with each other, with concise brushstrokes and lively charm, filled with a simple and three-dimensional beauty. The work is a painting by Mr. Zhang Weizeng at the age of 91 in 2023, measuring 87cm * 50cm. Mr. Zhang Weizeng was born in March 1933, nicknamed "Carp Zhang". Influenced by his uncle, Master Li Kuchan, during his childhood, he had a passion for painting. He served as the Vice President of Xu Beihong Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Academician of Qingfeng International Calligraphy and Painting Institute, Director of China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Vice Chairman of China Calligraphy and Painting Society, Honorary Dean of China Famous Calligraphy and Painting Institute, and was awarded the title of Lifetime Achievement Artist of Virtue and Art Shuangxin in 2019.
