Mr. Xue Zhenhai, born in 1963, is a disciple of Qi Liangchi, the son of the Chinese painting master Qi Baishi. He is currently a senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, a specially appointed professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a national first-class artist, the president of the Qi Baishi Art Research Institute, a member of the China Gongbi Painting Association, a member of the China Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Association, and a recipient of special treatment for senior experts and government subsidies.
