SHIPS FROM London. UNSEE, UNHEAR is a part of a series of paintings I would describe as stream of consciousness paintings. The paintings from the series do not necessarily fall under the category of word art, it is rather experimenting with new approaches to creating interesting textures getting closer and closer to anything that can be described as urban decay. The new series is rather a kind of a diary, a visual diary in which I almost subconsciously "register" words and numbers that come to my mind mostly uninvited, I "print" fleeting thoughts scatted here and there, I "reconnect" with what lies half-forgotten in the backyard of my mind – a place that always takes me by surprise, scares me, fascinates me, keeps me awake, makes me cry, makes me laugh and makes me who I am. Creating layer after layer, repeatedly exposing and hiding in colour and texture, feeling strong, feeling vulnerable, I try not to reinvent myself too much. I am not interested in a ?me? beyond recognition… I just enjoy the ?keep going? mode, rediscovering the beauty of being able to keep going… I keep learning how to stay true to myself rediscovering how rewarding staying true to myself feels… and since it is all about hope, I hope to find freedom, miraculously breaking free from the feeling of being held in bondage of what I cannot control. I would describe my recent artistic explorations and the resulting body of work I have produced of lately as a ?stream of consciousness? series of paintings. The paintings from the series do not necessarily fall under the category of word art, it is rather experimenting with new approaches to creating interesting textures whilst getting closer and closer to anything that can be described as urban decay. Nature and urban decay inspired, my paintings are very raw and organic looking. Most of my pieces are inspired by my fascination with and exploration of a huge variety of organic shapes and forms and all are marked for my minimalist approach to my creative process, often relying on random mark-making and chancing the outcome that often appears to be surprisingly unexpected and seriously different from all initial ideas and artistic intentions. Executed in rather muted yet dramatic colours, my paintings are marked for their unique contemporary vibe.
