Living Artists Contemporary Investment art Auction July 2024 Edition
Lot 170:
SHIPS FROM London, UK I delight in writing and reciting poetry. I was a UK poetry slam champion and have done several slam tours of USA as part of a London team of 4 poets slamming against US teams. So much fun. Each poet has 3 minutes to perform a piece written by themselves in any spoken word style at the end of their performance they are given a score by 5 judges picked from the audience. Highest scorer (or highest team collective score) wins. At its best its like watching 3 minute pieces of spoken word theatre. Wonderful. Here I have started the work with my favoured line drawing then washed over with acrylic paint thin enough to allow the quality of the line to remain. Additional enhancement to the figures using colour pencils. Richard Heley is a multi skilled visual artist, writer, performer, and songwriter.
