SHIPS FROM Birmingham "Anxiety is like have Gorilla’s around for tea" The picture is a playful attempt to visualise the above phrase, in particular the absurdity of a Silverback Gorilla holding a bone china tea cup. Adding to the layers of storytelling, the ‘picture’ behind the gorilla’s is one of the artists other works. In addition, the painting was done over a photo of a pink double decker bus, which is now orientated on its side and so potentially crashing through the whole scene. Kevin creates atmospheric, intense and varied artwork. From abstract to landscape, he looks to offer a space for stories of meaning and connection.
