With piercing, deep dark eyes that penetrate the viewer, this piece draws you into the depths of indigenous wisdom, evoking reverence and respect for the Earth and prompting soul-stirring questions from within. I painted this in Italy in 1998 when this spirit guide first appeared to me. 22 years later, he appeared to me in Uluru and then continued to guide and protect me and my family all the years while we were in Australia. He was a deeply wise and patient guide whom I trusted completely. Now that we are finally home and at peace, I can pass this painting on so that he can help the next person find their way home.
