When I first went to Australia, it upset me deeply to realize how the indigenous Australian people had been displaced and removed from their homelands. After spending time with many of them and talking about this, they made it clear to us that we are all suffering from the grief of separation, whether we realize it or not. This piece portrays the yearning each one of us feels to re-connect to the earth in a meaningful way. My wish is that it may help you find the sense of peace and re-connection that you seek.
